Cusick is failing to catch a fish as he tells of how depressing life as a fish was for him. Then, Cusick catches 1 he wishes to release, but the fish conveying it knew of the spurtan duyvel. Doot accidentally blasts the fish into the air, but Cusick catches it again, he regarding how Doot must be more careful what with also having his bro in him. Cusick has a solution he'd been perfecting the whole 2 and 1/2 months they'd been training Doot as a timespirit.

Cusick also gives Doot his bro's eye on a hairband placed at the back of his head, so Three Birds could calm his magic down and gain perspective. After Cusick goes over what subj's Doot had learnt, he decides to let him captain them to a new place and time, but Doot can't control himself and shoots into a new time, leaving Cusick to go locate him, he hoping Doot was safe. 6000 years showed N America being ruled by a wizard king, the man on his 16th yr of deathbed. Ogam's daughter, Pey was apparently a 12 yr old slut and had corrupted Ogam's finest student, the man now returning, and upsetting Ogam into using his power to fly him back home, a 5 days walk, having come for still being a sucker for Pey.

Tubal Carrin becomes so desperate, he goes to a runesayer to help kidnap Pey. Runesayer consults her runes and they go along with Tubal's plan. Meanwhile, Cusick comes back into a time zone and nearly gets hit by oncoming traffic, but then blasts himself too far back to dino times. Cusick gets chased by a Rex, and gets chomped after magicking himself to stone and breaking some of the Rex's teeth. Before continuing his search for Doot, Cusick copies a cuneiform possible spell he detects on a rock at 1 of his magnetic pole spots.

Back with Pey, she's left her pop's bedside and is complaining about the old man, when she's snatched, and whilst Ogam was napping, his magic worked on, and Tub's plans were easily thwarted for being thought by a simpleton. As he's creating a Mindraven, a serpent forms in his hand, he having the bird deliver it, acknowledging his girl's naughtiness and hoping she could keep her self from this impossible to avoid situation... Doot has materialized above the boat Pey'd been kidnapped on, she pleading for his help, and Doot smilingly agreeing, as he urges she watch his skills. 1 man readies to brain him, he striking by spirit self, then electrifying the huge serpent by the ship, Doot returning to his body, Cusick then catching up.

He helps Doot out of the water when he tells how cold it was, Cusick then saying they'd gotten to the right time for the serpent being their target. They retrieved the mone they required from the serpent's ear, Cusick then urging Doot to go after Pey. Cusick assures they'd find each other again, he going after his next desperate soul. Pey is aobut to be offered to the Runesayer's crew when Doot helps her out, and magick's them elsewhere.

Pey isn't impressed since Doot loses control and drops them, she constantly talking on their 10 min walk back to her pop, he now truly believing he was dying. Pey only thinks of herself, though, and Ogam asks for Doot's help to return the blacksack, he asking for Pey in return, which he grants, she pretty pissed, since declaring her wish he'd die already. When the Runesayer returns to the lovesick idiot, he devolves for not getting Pey, but is willing to do anything, Cusick answering. When he clarifies of wanting the world's end if he couldn't have Pey, Cusick says he'd be crazy if he gave him the spurtyn duyvel.

Tub conks him on the head and the fish falls out along with Cusick, to the floor. Tub does as the fish wishes so he could get the duyvel, the fish waking it, after Tub speaks the words of power. Before Ogam can retrieve his blacksack, since seeing the duyvel hanging in the sky, he collapses in true death. When Cusick comes to, he q's what Tub thought he'd do, now it dawning on Tub what he'd truly started. Heckuva way to continue! So full of twists, and the art is stellar as ever!
