Samurai Cat #1 and 2 of 3
By Mark E. Rogers

16th century Japan, anyone can carve greatness for themselves, even a cat... Takeda Katsuyori steps in to take Nagashino castle. When Takeda clan charge, Katsuyori has the help of Miaowara Tomokato, samurai cat to intimidate enough for men to commit seppuku. After the defeat, Tomokato receives permission to visit his bro, Shimura.
Shimura could've been as great a samurai as he, but a leg wound prevented his ability, so he becomes a famed poet, instead. When Tomo gets to his bro's home, they welcome him and he tells stories to his bro's kids, and leaves the 3rd day, planning on returning soon. He sees the castle is destroyed by fire when he's on the road, not thinking the overthrown Takeda clan could be responsible this time, he shouts for answers. Nobunaga replies, only a neck and head.
Nobu confides who had done this, and Tomo declares Nobu'd be avenged, he then dying, but not. Tomo battles a huge tapeworm and gets a glow bit off of it to light his way. As he's walking through the castle-turned cave tunnel, he meets Lord of the Rings fellows, but passes onward through catacombs til seeing pig soldiers. Tomo cuts through them, and the fish on the throne reveals someone else is waiting to meet him.
Next, Tomo is fighting a devil creature, and wins, the fish shooting at him, and Tomo redirecting the bullets back at him with his sword. After, as he's riding a horse away, he contemplates the others he must kill, and then clean the castle.

Tomo is tracking his next hit, a wizard necromancer, but he isn't in Nabonidea. Thepageti-Thoth is planning to use his magic to bring the Picts onto his side for a scheme, so Tomo tracks him, and upon reaching land, 1st gets a drink at a bar. He gets hassled after getting his order of milk, so cuts the finger-pointers down. When their leader finds out, he wishes to have him join him, and upon realizing they are both after Thoth, Tomo agrees.
Reference to Monty Python with the lumberjack song, and they all walk into porka Picts territory. The leaders next best fighter is an idiot, but starts attacking when the Picts shoot arrows. Tomo has the chance to next see the Picts in celebration, and sees Thoth show himself. After he inhabits the body of a dragon, Tomo sets the Picts huts on fire, distracting them so he could get to the unattended body to kill.
Con-ed conks him though, and kills the wizard himself, Tomo now having to fight more Picts. Fighting the dragon is more difficult for oafish Con-ed. He's nearly crashed upon by the dragon, but Tomo saves him from the dragon's nose dive, he also having slaughtered the Picts. Tomo is ready to take on more in the 3rd issue!
Which I'm skipping, since I'm good on this. It's cute, but he cover art and back page art is more impressive than the story, which is way light on amusement. So, onward!
