Hawken #4 of 6

In the Sonoran desert, a member of the ring, Sombre comes upon a corpse hung upside down, he further looking to find another headless corpse. Hawken is tripping out for holding pint-sized mer-creatures in bullet jars. Hawken surprises his enemies by already being nearby as they plan to assault him, which he'd been finding off for a bit, til getting distracted, but as he's getting shot at, he dodges, miraculously, but still gets hit. They give him another chance to surrender, and he unhitches the train car.

The rest of the cars crash into the cyn, and Lil qs whether Mary'd actually turned on him, he not thinking so, and walking off with Caramba. Gallis meanwhile, is chatting with his wheelchair bound daughter, when he yells at the men handling his statue. When his butler comes to give updates, he dismisses her, and is told of Sombre on Hawken's track, according to Bates. His daughter doesn't think highly of her pop as Hawken hadn't kep up his part of the deal due to the loss.

Mary reminisces on her hubby being first to show her 1 of the creatures, she having worked on 1 of his pleasure ships, and he falling for her and eventually marrying her. The 2 next move to the U.S., then after awhile to Lapida, to train people. When their power gets the attn of the ring, it brings Hawken with their ultimatum to work for them. She then invites Hawken to the festival the next day, since it is a tribute to death day.

Then, Mary obliges Hawken with a roll in ze hay with the help of liquid strength for him. Sombre is in the desert, and discovers the ring, riding off. When Mary tells Hawken where Gallis' HQ is, he begins readying to leave. He leaves with the statement of everyone always using him like a weapon, so it is his turn, then exiting and riding off.

Crazy story still, it'll be intriguing to see how it ends.
