Ghostdancing #6
By Jamie Delano

Coyote is gladly listening to drumming, and states White-Buffalo woman's prayer'd been heard by her boy, he then suggesting they stop their dance, change to their true forms, and dance as they exit, 2 agents attempting to stop them, but Coyote barely bothered by them as they move through the building. Meanwhile, the Director is q'ing an agent about what news they had, since shit was shaking around decently, he under his desk, and his asst. informing of San Andreas'd been bucking about, San. Fran. and San Diego both having major issues involving collapsed bridge and fires, and 100 mph winds on land to book, it only strengthening, no news of Cody or BC available, and as for their captives, it wasn't detailed what with the squad unintelligible with hysteria. Coyote verbally approves of the fiery, chaotic state of the city as they run, marveling at the eagles above them, White-Buffalo woman hearing her brethren buffalo running, and she then bidding they get to Snot-Boy and dance with him. Coyote decides not to go, though sensing Snot-Boy'd awakened the thunderbird, which was a huge-ass storm which resembled a bird.
White-Buffalo woman dances as the thunderbird shakes the erf grandly, dancing all the way through the cleansing upheaval with her buffalo fam, their reality permeating the senses as they tore and stamped their enemies HQ, doing to them what they'd done to the buffalo. As they ran, cracking the Fourth world egg-style, cities decimated, as all bodies of what vomited up, and deserts sank down. So, everyone who hadn't been open to ghost-dancing either went East or readied to dig in and perish. All the people ghostdancing happily along with the animals as nature is returned, all those who polluted it, accepting their watery deaths.
Cody madly claws his way through the zoned out peeps, only wishing to destroy them, but having to flee for lack of weaponry. As he crests the hill, he's chased by a porcupine creature, loses him, and snorts more coke as he regrets not taking out Snot-Boy, and only wishes to get in touch with HQ, he discovering the remainder of his men next to the stamped on car by 6ft jack rabbits. 1 of the agents relates of the west coast being welcomed by the sea, and they were to await there for aerial retreat. When an agent hears a copter, Cody biffs off for knowing it was ridiculous to wait, he hearing the buffalo give chase to him, he curling up in a ball on top of a boulder, until it settles and he can hear his own fear moans, then q'ing the lady who stood before the buffalo, she mockingly asking if he'd truly gorget all the nicknamed he'd come up with for her, stomping him about as she listed all his betrayals to the erf, herself, and family, she stamping him out of a life he no longer recognized.
The Director somehow maintains hope for eventual success as more dirtied survivors turned up. An agent informs of radio quiet, though and nature was returning where it wasn't previously. The survivors were in madness shock, and no one had info on the ghost dancers or if they had anything to do with the destruction. This happening as 2 agents chat in a helicopter with cloud gods around them.
As Coyote's fam dances, he naps in the leftovers of the enemies HQ, healing his costume's wounds, and dreaming about White-Buffalo woman rejoining Snot-Boy, now the change-bringer, Snake. Coyote is woken by Brother Packrat, though with the urging he go west, everything better there, the people needing to learn how to live respectfully, but Coyote wanting to follow the stinking enemy, it also having been awhile, since he'd raised some hell on the east coast, he then consuming rat, due to his long journey ahead as he follows the trail of people. Decent story, cataclysmic, but environmentally restoring finish, I can also see how this could've been nicely extended. I enjoyed it, and now I'll be focusing on webcomics for a bit!
