I love this story, and hope I can track down the others someday! Theseus and Jeannie are fleeing the country from Bacchus and crew, but they're plane is taken over by Eyeball Kid, who wants Theseus to spill on the secret to their living forever, and how they're now dying. Also, how Bacchus looks like he was on his last legs, and Theseus remained looking as young as a babe. EK messes up and crashes the plane in tropical climes, knocking Theseus out with his powers.

Bacchus is in a bar drinkin', and Crispin complains about buying his drinks as he's led by Simpson back to grab a paper. Bacchus has Simpson swear Crispin in for being so loyal, which he does by having Crispin vow upon all the collective beards, men and women to have followed Bacchus, this coming from Tristram Shandy. Then, Bacchus sees the paper, the headline showing Theseus' plane crash. As Bacchus details what's written in the article, Theseus is preparing to run with Jeannie, other men wondering why he didn't want to be saved.

Jeannie and he walk through the jungle as Theseus attempts to stave Jeannie's q's regarding whether EK survived. Jeannie's soon asking why he treats her like crap when she's so deathly loyal, he dodging regarding this by supplying of EK being more powerful than anyone on Earth. Jeannie soon sees a rare plant twice, and thinks they've walked in a circle, enemies attacking them weighing in her favor. The men hope to return them to their leader, but Theseus doesn't seem receptive.

Bacchus soon opens up to Crispin on the reason why Theseus and he were at odds, after Crispin offers to drive them. He begins with how Minos becomes leader of Crete when requesting and receiving a white bull from the gods by sea. So when Poseidon gets annoyed by Minos breaking custom by not sacrificing the bull back to him, he has Mino's hubby horndawg after the bull. She does in a creative Ace Ventura 2 fashion, and births the Minotaur.

After Daedalus creates the labyrinth for him, every year the creature is given 14 victims, Theseus among them 1 year for wanting to claim his birthright, he telling it was King Aegis or Poseidon depending on his point. When Theseus arrives, he gives Minos a verbal jab and is made to fetch a ring from the sea, which sea nymphs help him to accomplish. Mino's daughter, Ariadne helps him armour up, he locating the minotaur with sword and string. After defeating the minotaur, and other young men and ladies, he and Ariadne return home to Aegis, but he kills himself upon seeing the sails Theseus forgot to switch.

Bacchus regards the part of the story where he ditches Ariadne before even getting home, Bacchus finding and falling for her. This is where Jeannie gets a taste of Theseus' past by also getting ditched by him, he needing to think on his own, leaving her a weapon. What occurs to him is a bunch of wandering til being hired by a rich woman to clean her pool, which is when EK turns up.

What's to come is a wedding for Bacchus and Ariadne, among other events regarding EK being a chaperone, and Theseus playing nice with his rich boss. As for Minos, when he's killed, he becomes one of the judges of the Netherworld for his goodness, til shit goes haywire! This series is much fun, and I can only hope to locate the other volumes!
