Eyeball Kid is shown in a floating box over some trees near the sea. He takes a wizz and recalls how popular he'd been, meeting Theseus, who eventually gets him mixed up with a bad crowd and they steal everything off him. He makes a deal with the Kabeiroi to get the eye of fate back and was now on his way to Sicily. EK comes right as Theseus sticks the eye in his noggin and makes his truths known, noticing EK and getting more pissed.

Anchovy, or Hangman's Daughter, shoots a guy with a spear gun after EK does a piece of magic by appearing a coffee cup filled, he then taking out the rest of the crew with a hand in formation of a gun, and pow-pow-ing them to actual death. Meanwhile, Theseus perceives when Anchovy, himself, and EK drive away speedily, it crashes. As the trio still get in the random car, EK wonders which side Hermes had chosen. Bacchus was currently lounging til Skylla showed, and Simpson was already waiting.

As Bacchus takes off his tie, Simpson helps him, he unable to sleep after the Catacombs, he worried about death despite having experienced it repeatedly. When Simpson also mentions Hermes, this gets Bacchus into gear and leaves with Simpson, who doesn't drive, but would. They crash through the gate and are driving quickly through the deserted street, a few blocks over, EK doing the same. The crash takes out Anchovy, Theseus seeing the unconscious EK taking out the cops approaching, Bacchus finishing his drink.

Theseus explains his pants off the officer by acting dumb, then perceives Simpson getting "it" tmw. Quick, fun read! I still like it, and I feel it's worth the ride.
